Sewing 101: For beginning sewers, this is not like any other sewing class.  You choose your projects and we are there to instruct and help you from start to finish.  If you are into fashion clothing or crafts you will greatly benefit from this class.  In 2 classes you can expect to learn basic sewing skills and how to use a sewing machine. 

Pencil Skirt Workshop: Always in style, no woman should be without one.  In this one day exclusive designer workshop you will learn what style best suits your body type, how to choose the right fabrics, couture patternmaking, cutting and sewing techniques. Even if you  have never sewn a stitch before, the workshop takes you step by step through the process of designing and sewing the wardrobe essential, a perfect skirt.

Knit Top Workshop:  Design and sew your own knit top!  Purchase your knit fabric in advance and bring in ideas for your own custom top.  Our sewing machines handle knit fabrics.  You'll go home with a new top and a custom pattern.

Design and Patternmaking:  Have you always wanted to design clothes?  In this course, you will learn to draft basic fitting design blocks for any size that will allow you to create a wide range of garments, i.e. dresses, shirts, blouses, over garments, knitwear, sleepwear and almost any type of women's wear.  This course covers the following: taking body measurements, tools & equipment, drafting basic patternmaking blocks, interpret original designs into patterns & finished garments, use of fabric & notions, pattern layout and cutting and much more!

Young Designer Workshop:  This quintessential workshop for the young aspiring fashion designer, offers comprehensive coverage of easy-to-follow methods and instruction providing students with all the relevant information necessary to create their original fashions.  With every exercise, students broaden their skill level and gain a deeper understanding of the art of design and patternmaking.  Class included fashion design, illustration, patternmaking, draping, design principles, textiles, construction, fit, sewing and fabric manipulation.  In addition, the students will create a designer portfolio and will participate in a runway show featurning their original creations.

Adult Fashion Design Workshop:  A fantastic opportunity to design and sew 3 pieces!  Learn how to measure for custom patterns, design and sew a skirt, knit top and dress. 
We will walk you through the process of patternmaking and sewing and you will finish with custom patterns that can be re-used.
